Observation

During the monitor visit and complaint follow up for this site children were going from room to room to the shared restroom and handwashing sink which made it difficult to get an accurate head count for the room. There was also a roster for preschool 2 room that had 11 children on the roster and counted in the classroom but only 1 teacher. The set up some of the rooms enables staff from seeing the back of the room where two children were located. There was one child hiding on a bookshelf laying down and another in that same area but across the classroom. The children did not move and stayed in that area during the lunch transition. The licensor informed the assistant director whom then retrieved the children and walked them to the front of the room. During outside time there was a staff member that was disengaged from a child and had her head rested on her hand staring off away from the children. During this time a child had climbed on a table and the staff did not intervene at any time. This room roster had a count of 9 children but there was 10 outside.
